We have had a successful weekend at COSACSS Y2K and Satellites Spring Meet. Well done to all our swimmers who took part in these meets.
Over the course of the weekend our swimmers achieved 24 golds, 22 silvers and 14 bronzes!
In total we had 92 personal best times and it was great to see good performances from our younger swimmers, who were competing in their first meet.
At the Satellites meet we also achieved success in the age group top boy and girl awards. The organisers have confirmed the following:
– Will McGinley-Keates (Top 10 year old boy)
– Megan Hall (Joint top 9 year old girl)
– Alex Hall (Joint top 10 year old girl)
– Eden Schiller (Top 16 years and over girl)
Well done to you all!
Also a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to assist poolside over the weekend – Elaine Walsh, Julia Morgan, Nigel Taylor, Paul McGinley-Keates – and a special thanks to Lawrie Whitehead and Eden Schiller who provided invaluable assistance to our younger swimmers.
In addition to successes in the pool, if the awards existed, our swimmers would have won ‘top dance group’ for their La Macarena and Elaine would have won ‘top solo dance act’ for her Cha Cha Slide (Gangnam Style was also looking good until the music stopped early).
