An amazing performance by all swimmers with a remarkable 98 pb’s being returned from 118 swims
Leading the way was Harry Meakin who entered 12 events and won 11 gold (too many to list) and 1 silver
Close on his heels was Greta Jackson with a 100% conversion of 4 races, 4 gold (50m BK, BR, FC & 100m IM) and 4 pb’s…another one with no excuses when it now comes to training
Gold was also the colour for:
- Maisie (100 & 200m BR)
- Ewan (50m BR)…no excuses now when it comes to BR training ?
- Oliver Sigley (100m BK)
- Romy Jackson (50m BK)
Silver going to:
- Ewan
- Maisie
- Oliver Sigley
- Robyn
- Romy
- Sam
Bronze going to:
- Ben Hilton
- Ewan
- Romy
- Sam
For me as the coach, the swimmers who medalled did really well, but there were also a lot of fantastic swims from the other swimmers…some but not all are listed below
- Ben Hilton who achieved 7 pb’s…the smallest being by 0.03secs…but they all count
- Evie Dargue who achieved 7 pb’s whilst wearing a Leek beanie hat for the entirety of day 1
- Hannah Proffitt who achieved 5 pb’s and kept Nina and Mel amused each time she finished her race
- Imogen Mollart who achieved a clean sweep of 9 races, 9pb’s
- Miley-Ann Brown who pb’d every race…despite being constantly tired
- Robyn Schiller who achieved a clean sweep of 7 races, 7pb’s and a silver
Congratulations to everyone who swam
Lastly, a big THANK YOU to:
Simon, Ana, Elaine & Julia
Without you guys on poolside to help, we would not be able to achieve such fantastic results…THANK YOU
Finally, it was great to see many of our swimmers in the new club kit. It looked very good, so a thank you to Mel for her hard work in getting it sorted.
Satellites meet is 16-17th October…see you at training Tuesday ?
